About The Coaches

Ross Gaydon Head Coach

Ross comes from a sporting background having played cricket,football, table tennis and darts at various levels and with various success, His hard work paying off. He brings this hard work philosophy  to his coaching. He also has an interest in sports psychology which can help with the mental side of coaching and pushing his athletes to success.

Ross started his coaching career while working at Pollyfield Pre-school where he completed youth football coaching qualification. He went onto coaching with the TDC with their holiday sports programmes. In his coaching career he went on to run a table tennis club at St Margarets school as well as an assistant coach role with Bideford amateur athletic club.

It was not until 2012 when Ross discovered Crossfit. This new training philosophy would change Ross Forever and in 2014 Ross entered is first Crossfit open.  After many Open appearances and in-house competitions Ross entered his first international masters competition.

During Lockdown Ross got his wife to join him for training sessions it was from this that Ross was encouraged to complete his personal training qualifications. In gaining his level 2 in fitness instructing and level 3 personal training Ross has already helped people achieve their health and fitness goals and is looking forward to doing the same for athletes that are on their own Fitness journey.

Being a member of CIMSPA it is a requirement to complete ongoing training annually which will be beneficial to all athletes that get to work with Ross.
